Good afternoon, Husky Families!

Avalon Middle School students are simply the best!  This week we had so many students who participated in Start with Hello Week!  I know that we encourage kindness, inclusiveness, and being respectful this week, but I want to make sure our students know that we are excited when we continue these traits all the time!  This helps to make our school, community, and our world a better place!  

This week we will be in a block schedule as we have PMA testing for all Science classes, Civics, Algebra, and Geometry.  The schedule has been posted on Parent Square and is below.  

I want to wish our Soccer teams best of luck as tomorrow starts the playoffs for both teams.  Come on out to support the teams as they are both at home tomorrow night.  

Tomorrow night we also have our SAC meeting for this month at 5pm in the Media Center, we would love to see you there!  

Also this week we have a special invite to our school and community to celebrate with Timber Creek High School and their Homecoming festivities.  See the flyer below about a community event this Thursday!

We are raising funds to support the Avalon Middle School Athletic Programs and create a stronger, more connected school community for all AMS students!

Your donations directly support our athletes by helping provide essential equipment, facility/field improvements, athletic training supplies, celebrations/awards, and much more. But the impact goes beyond our athletes. We are investing in the overall student experience at Avalon Middle School—a strong athletic program builds school spirit, teamwork, leadership, school pride, and a stronger sense of community for everyone.

Soccer Playoffs begin tomorrow.  We are the #1 seed in both of our Clusters and have already secured Cluster Champions by beating the local teams.  Now we are competing for Eastern Conference Champion as well as Metro County Champions.  Best of luck to both teams!  

We will be PMA testing Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week in Algebra,Geometry, all Science classes, and Civics.

Our school and community are invited to Timber Creek this Thursday for a Homecoming Festival!  

Congratulations to our NJHS for being recognized as an NJHS Chapter of Distinction!  Thank you to Mr. Lombardi and all the students for their hard work, leadership, and service to our community!

Ready to build, design, and create? The PLTW (Project Lead The Way) Club is kicking off the school year with hands-on STEM activities, including rocketry, robotics, 3D printing, CAD, and more!

Important Note for Parents & Students: A signed parental consent form is required for students to participate in club activities. 

Creative Butterfly Club will meet Wednesday's after school.  If you are interested see Ms. Alejo and turn in your permission slip.  

Dress Rehearsal for Jr. Thespians’ Winter Showcase is November 2 from 4-6 in the cafeteria.

All OCPS students will eat for “No Charge” in schools this year. Our “Breakfast Grab n Go” will be available daily at the bus loop and in the courtyard. Lunch will be available in our beautiful café to all students. We will also be selling many a la carte items that can be paid for with cash, check, or credit card through School Pay. Any additional money will go directly into the student's account for future purchases.

Any student requiring a special diet due to allergies/special needs, please complete the "Special Diet Order" form. Once approved by our FNS Nutritionist, we will be able to prepare meals. All special diet breakfast and lunch meals will be served on the line with the yellow dangler. Look for the cashier wearing a “Yellow Apron".
