Principal Mendez's Message

Dear Husky Families,

Happy Memorial Day! Congratulations to our Evening of Excellence award recipients, we are truly so proud of each of you.

As we approach the final two days of this incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank our Avalon families for your unwavering support and partnership. This year has been filled with growth, celebration, and perseverance, and none of it would have been possible without you. Our students have thrived because of the strong connection between home and school, and together, we have modeled what it means to live out our PAWS values—Positivity, Accountability, Willingness, and Success. Like the Coffee Bean mindset, we embrace at Avalon, our community has continued to rise above challenges and make every situation better through encouragement, resilience, and a shared commitment to excellence.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated PTSO and SAC parents for the countless ways you have supported our school throughout the year—from organizing events and supporting our staff to providing valuable insight and partnership in decision-making. Your time, generosity, and belief in Avalon make a lasting impact on our students and staff. As we close out this school year, we are filled with gratitude and pride. Thank you for being such an important part of what makes Avalon truly special—we look forward to continuing this journey together.
Blessings,
Principal Marisol Mendez
